    Although Kizzie’s last few years have been in a great home with a good diet, his start to life was not that great.  He was kept in a petstore and poked by kids.  Put on a swing perch before he was able to perch.  This caused him to fall several times and damaged his keel bone.  He was then sold only to be kept in a basement in the dark before being rescued from there. Presently Kizzie’s body is bald with feathers only on his head, wing and tail. We will be working with Kizzie to see if we can help him get his feathers back.

      My name is Sandra Glisic, and it pains me to hear about the condition of his previous “home” if you may say that. I feel that ever bird, no matter the problems is deserving of a loving home. I would be honored to take care of Kizzie, and to care for him in all respects. If you may, please contact me back in regards of his adoption conditions since, as previously stated, i would be honoured to introduce him to my household.

      Hi Sandra,

      Thanks for wanting to give Kizzie a home. We have found a wonderful home for her this weekend. She will be going there later this week. Later today I will be posting other birds available for adoption that recently came in. If you are interested in any of them, please fill out the adoption application that is on the website. If you don’t see any now that you feel would meet your need, then please let keep an eye on the website as more and more are coming in with greater frequency lately.
