Posted on June 19th, 2009 28 commentsWe just recieved 9 female and 1 male cockatiel that are all hand tame and some are talking, singing, whistling songs. I was told that some of the mutations are rare. There are fallows, Cinamons, White face available. Can be adopted individually or as a group. All are young and healthy. **Please note I know nothing about cockatiel mutations and I am only going by the information that was given** Update**** 4 cockatiels have found homes. There are 4 females and 2 males still needing homes.

i would love to adopt one of your males.. do you still have a male.. ive got a female and she needs someone to play with
-
Yes we have 2 males. However you will be obligated to sign a no breeding contract. You may be better with a second female as a playmate.

I’ve been looking forward to getting a pet bird and would love to find a tame cockatiel for a family pet. My son has been talking about “birds” for a week or so now ever since we started looking for one, but unfortunately the ones I’ve found are either far too expensive or are for breeding purposes only and arent tame nor young. If you have any tame cinnamon cockatiels left, I’ll take one. I have a cage and a family desperate to get one. However, unfortunately I cant drive because of a disability, so I have to rely on someone else to give me a ride that fits into their schedule. The farthest I can get is to London, unless I get a ride with Crissinda (hi Crissi!) who just left a post aswell. It’d be greatly appreciated if you could respond before Saturday, because thats the day my friend could drive me to London.

Hey Nancy!
Firstly thank you so much for doing a wonderful job! I have a male cockatiel who turns 3 this december. He is very hand tame and a complete family member spending quite a bit of time out of the cage. I would like to get him a partner, preferrably a female one who is slightly younger than him! I dont really want to breed them (it’s too much work!) i just want him to stay happy. So, I was wondering can I possibly come and check out your cockatiels? Also do you recommend me to adopt another bird? Will it change my bird’s behaviour?
Thank you!
Zohair

Hi
I am having a female cockatiel, I would like to have a male one
Thank you -
I do not recommend a male cockatiel as you would end up with a pair of breeding birds. Our contract is for no breeding. You might want to consider another female as a play mate.
-
I would never recommend keeping them in the same cage. That is an accident waiting to happen.

Hi,
A couple of questions for you about Cockatiels. Are they a good bird for a first time bird owner and are they tolerant of children? Also how much are your adoption fees and do you sell cages and toys etc.? Look forward to hearing from you, Sara Mudge
-
They are a great bird for a first time bird owner. They can be good with kids but that highly depends on the kids. I emailed you privately about the adoption. If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. Thanks, Nancy

Hello, If there are any cockatiels left for adoption, I am seriously interested. Looking forward to your response. Thank-you!

We have many cockatiels still available for adoption. 4 babies arrived this week that are 3 months old. I have not updated the posting on the cockatiles but we have about 10 still available from various sources. Some are quite friendly and tame and a few talk. If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. Thanks/Nancy

I have 5 cockatiels, 4 are paired up and I am looking for a male cockatiel to pair up with a 3 year old female. I am not breeding them. Not to worry. The 3 year old female plucks her own feather due to stress (I think) and she sometimes looks to the other male to mate. I think if I can pair her up, her stress will be reduced. Hope you can help me to find that male cockatiel. thanks.
