Wallace – Double Yellow Headed Amazon
Posted on August 9th, 2009 6 commentsWallace is 15 yrs old. He spent his first 6 years in a petstore and then with the newest owners for the past 9 years. He was very unsocial during his stay at the petstore but came around very well in his present home. He is on a good diet and is fully feathered and talks very well. He is used to daily baths and it sounds like he would prefer a male handler however he did come willingly to me. He arrived here due to the arrival of a new baby.

Hi there,
I have a young female (9years old) would Wallace be friendly to another Amazon?
Thanks,
Tammy -
He has been friendly with the other birds here. Is yours a DNA’d female?

Yes she is. I am not sure how she would get along with another bird male or female as she has been my baby since age 2/3. However, she gets along great with other animals especially dogs.

Wallace is aggressive towards female people and will need to go to a man only home. He will viciously attack any woman that walks by his cage and will go out of his way to jump on them and bite.

I would be very interested in Wallace if he is still available. The only thing is I live in Saskatchewan. If things were in order, would it be possible to ship Wallace?

Sorry we don’t ship. I do understand that there is a new rescue in saskatchewan now. Not sure what they are called though but try using google and you should find them.
