Allie – Indian Ring Neck

Allie is an 8 month old Indian Ring Neck Parakeet . She is plucked around the neck and chest as she was traumatized by dogs and cats that were living in the home. We are hoping to help her get over her fears and gain some of her feathers back. She will need a home free of dogs or cats. We will see how she manages around other birds before making that determination. At this time we are assuming Allie is a female any sign of the actual ring around the neck is plucked.

  She still needs work to become friendly. She has not been handled much.

  We have no dogs but one GCC who is about 8 months old.
  
  I’d be interested in at least fostering her and getting her used to being handled/cuddled/spoiled. If she and ‘Babie’ get along I’d seriously consider adopting her.
  
  My only concern is the two not liking each other. But we’d LOVE a Ringneck…she might help Babie vocalize a wee bit more.

  I have responded to you privately. We do not offer a fostering program in that sense sorry.

  She does need a little work. She can also be aggressive around some other birds but then she is fine with others.
