  • Lolly – Red Lory

Posted on August 14th, 2010 Nancy Daniels 2 comments

Lolly is an adult Red Lory. She is a great talker and in great health and feather. She is super playful and not overly loud, just doing a flock call a couple of times a day.

  • Kiko – Blue and Gold Macaw

Posted on July 15th, 2010 Nancy Daniels 25 comments

Kiko is approximately 10 yrs old.  He was dropped off here by his owners who were in a domestic dispute and didn’t want to traumatise Kiko any longer.  We have no other history on him.  He is a bit nervous presently but has stepped up and let me pet him several times already.

  • Mickey – Sun Conure

Mickey is approximately five years old and is a beautiful, fully feathered Sun Conure. Mickey came to us showing come cage aggression but has now come around. Mickey does know his step-up, loves to play with bells and prefers to sleep under the newspaper lining at the bottom of his cage. Like most Sun Conures, Mickey can be very loud and would not be suitable for an apartment.

  • Little – Green Cheek Conure

Posted on July 9th, 2010 Nancy Daniels 2 comments

“Little” appears to be an adult Green Cheek Conure who was surrendered to the  Humane Society. The staff there did not know if he had a name, so our foster home calls him “Little”.  Since Little was surrendered, we have no history available for him. He has some feather damage on his chest but we are confident that he should return to full feather once he has had some time to stabilize. Little can be a bit nippy but knows his step-up.

  • Bubba – Yellow Nape Amazon

Posted on July 4th, 2010 Nancy Daniels 10 comments

Bubba is a gregarious, talkative fifteen year old Yellow Nape Amazon. He was surgically sexed as a juvenile and is male. Bubba can be handled by experienced men and women but would not be good with young children. He LOVES to talk and interact and has a great vocabulary (he can even mimic a spaceship and call the dog!), but he is persistent in his vocalizations and would not be suitable for an apartment. He will require a home with previous large bird experience.
