Buddy – African Grey Congo
Posted on May 28th, 2010 27 commentsBuddy is a 6 yr old CAG. He was much loved by his family but due to allergies, they have had to give him up. Buddy has some feather damage and prefers a male handler. He is an excellent talker and is learning new things all the time. He will require a home with previous large bird experience.

Jesse – African Grey Congo
Posted on April 28th, 2009 6 commentsJesse is a sweet but nervous African Grey. She is plucked on her body but we are hopeful that her feathers can return. She loves to share dinner with us and is quite social. More details to follow. Jesse is a very fun bird but is nervous about stepping up. She has quite a good vocabulary and is starting to let her feathers come back in.

Kizmet (Kizzie) – African Grey Congo
Posted on March 5th, 2009 2 commentsKizmet (Kizzie)
African Grey Congo
Although Kizzie’s last few years have been in a great home with a good diet, his start to life was not that great. He was kept in a petstore and poked by kids. Put on a swing perch before he was able to perch. This caused him to fall several times and damaged his keel bone. He was then sold only to be kept in a basement in the dark before being rescued from there. Presently Kizzie’s body is bald with feathers only on his head, wing and tail. We will be working with Kizzie to see if we can help him get his feathers back.
